Kingspan K103 120mm
Kingspan K103 120mm – a high-quality insulation material made of premium performance rigid phenolic insulation. In addition, the boards have glass tissue facings bonded to each side. The boards are lightweight. As a result, they’re easy to cut, handle and install. 120mm K103 is reliable and durable because of its great lifespan that does not degrade with time.
120mm K103 Kingspan insulation is a popular choice of thickness because this product thickness is great for use in floor applications.
120mm K103 key features:

- Water repellent – therefore will not absorb water

- Compressive strength 120kPa at 10% compression

120mm Kingspan K103 Board Application
K103 120mm is suitable for multiple building types. For example, residential and commercial buildings including new builds and refurbs. Install K103 in floor applications – see details below.
- Beam and dense block ground floors – Insulation below the floor screed.
- Suspended timber ground floors – Insulation between joists.
- Solid concrete ground-based floors – Insulation below the floor slab.
- Solid concrete ground-based floors – Insulation below the floor screed.
- Cut K103 120mm with a sharp knife or fine-toothed saw. Ensure accurate trimming to achieve close-butting joints and continuity of insulation.

Answer: | Insulating your floor will help reduce heating costs. In addition to this, a properly insulated ground floor will leave rooms feeling more comfortable. The rooms will also require less time to warm up. In short, up to 15% of the heat from a room can be lost through uninsulated ground floors. More heat will be lost through floors when other areas are thermally improved. For example, if the walls have great thermal insulation, the heat will leave through areas with poor insulation, such as the floor. Upgrading and insulating existing solid or suspended floors should not be forgotten about. | |
