Kingspan K107 50mm Pitched Roof Board

K107 50mm – a high-quality premium performance, lower-lambda rigid thermoset phenolic insulation board. The Phenolic core has low emissivity foil facings bonded to each side. The boards are light and as a result, easy to cut and handle and install. 50mm K107 is reliable and durable because of its great lifespan that does not degrade with time.

50mm K107 Kingspan Pitched Roof Insulation – a popular choice of thickness because this product can be installed between the rafters in the roof. More so, this board can be paired with other insulation materials to achieve a thicker size as well as thermal quality. This will also help to achieve building regulations. The thicker the board the better the thermal resistance – consequently, heat levels remain inside the property.

50mm K107 key features:

  • 2400mm x 1200mm
  • Thermal conductivity 0.019W/mK
  • Water repellent – therefore will not absorb water
  • No maintenance required
  • Kooltherm 100 Range
  • Rectangular Shape
  • Free from harmful gases including CFC and HCFC
  • Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) as well as Low Global Warming Potential (GWP)

  • 18 mm sarking board

Unventilated – insulation between & over rafters at 600 mm centres (recommended for new build or re-roofing)

Kingspan 50mm K107 Specifications

Kingspan K107, can help you make your home more energy efficient. The K107-pitched roof boards prevent heat from escaping through the roof. As a result, will help tackle climate change and global warming. By preventing heating from leaving the roof/loft space you are also saving yourself money on up to 35% of monthly energy bills. Heat rises from bottom to top however the insulation installed into a pitched roof reflects the heat back down, heating the building from top to bottom.

Question:

How thick should insulation be between rafters?

maxfrommarble
28-Sep-2022

Answer:

Common rafter depths range from 100 mm to 200 mm. As a result, this limits the maximum thickness of the insulation between the rafters to between 50 mm and 175 mm. This generally would not be a sufficient thickness to achieve the U-values required to meet Building Regulations and more insulation would need to be added.

Question:

What K107 thickness do I need for my roof?

maxfrommarble
28-Sep-2022

Answer:

The thickness required is dependent on the application type and depth of rafters. Therefore, always consult a building professional to determine the thickness required.
