Actis Hybris Panel 75mm
Actis Hybris Panel 75mm is a ground-breaking and innovative product manufactured by Actis Insulation. This multi-purpose product features a honeycomb structure to its design, made of shaped polyethylene foams glued to aluminium coated polyethylene foils. The purpose of this unique design is to form a network of closed cells that trap heat and reduce air movement creating a high thermal performance.
The external copper-coloured material of the Actis Panel is a vapour control layer that is both moisture and wind resistant. The reflective layer helps to regulate temperatures in both warm and cold conditions, reflecting the heat from the panel to either keep heat in or out of the property.
Actis Hybris insulation is available in thicknesses from 50mm ranging up to 205mm. These panels are 1145mm x 1200mm. This gives each panel a total coverage of 1.37m2. Actis Hybris Panels can be used in conjunction with any type of insulation.
One of the big advantages of using Actis Hybris panel is that they are lightweight and easy to install. The panels are designed to be installed within ceilings, roofs, walls, and suspended timber floors.
Key benefits of using Actis 75mm Hybris Panel
- Unique structure: The flexible materials virtually eliminate thermal bridging and can be paired with almost any type of insulation. The unique multi-layered design combines reflective copper-coloured foil, a closed cell network, and a vapour control layer.
- Exceptional thermal performance: With high thermal resistance (R-value), the panels provide exceptional thermal properties, helping to create a more temperature controlled and comfortable living or working space meanwhile reducing energy bills and energy consumption.
- High acoustic comfort: In additional to thermal properties, Actis Hybris Panels also provide outstanding acoustic properties, reducing noise levels and enhancing comfort.
- Versatile Applications: Installations include residential, commercial, and industrial buildings within roofs, walls, floors, and ceilings. The panels can adapt seamlessly to different structures and various requirements.
- Durability: Made to withstand weather conditions, these panels are wind and moisture resistant. The Actis panels offer long-lasting performance and do not compact over time, offering peace of mind and comfort.
- Easy To Install: Actis Hybris Panels are lightweight and quick and easy to transport, cut, and fit. The material is flexible and has no irritable fibres unlike many other insulation materials.
- Energy Efficiency: Actis Hybris Panels minimise the heating and cooling requirements of the property, creating a more sustainable building with reduced energy consumption and carbon emissions.
Where Can 75mm Actis Hybris Panels Be Installed?
Actis Hybris panel are excellent as they can be used within various application types. Due to the durable and versatile nature of the Actis panel, they can fit most widths and are held into place by friction fit, making this product perfect for installation applications between rafters, timber studs, and within floor joists.
Actis Hybris Panel Applications:
- Timber Frame Walls: Actis Hybris is suitable for installation for timber frame walls. Using the Hybris panel in timber frame constructions can help enhance the energy efficiency of a building. The panels can be cut and installed within the timber frame.
- Masonry Walls: Hybris insulation by Actis can be used in masonry walls. This can help reduce the heat lost in a property as well as improve overall comfort. The Actis panels can be installed in between the inner leaf of the of the building and the interior wall.
- Ceilings: Actis panel can be installed in ceiling applications. This can further help to improve the thermal performance of a building. The panels can be placed in between the rafters in the ceilings and covered with plasterboard panels.
- Pitched Roofs: Actis Hybris can be used in the insulation of pitched roofs, providing a barrier against heat transfer, and contributing to a stable indoor temperature year-round. The insulation panels can be pushed up in between the rafters and applied horizontally over the rafters.
- Suspended Timber Floors: Actis Hybris panels are also ideal for insulating suspended timber floors, enhancing underfoot comfort and overall thermal efficiency of the flooring system.
How Do 75mm Actis Hybris Panel Work?
The wide variety of application types makes Actis Hybris the ideal multi-purpose insulation material. The thermal conductivity of these panels is just 0.033W/mK. They are easy to handle and can be cut down to size using a standard handsaw as well as an electric alligator saw.
In addition to this, these panels are graded A+ for internal air quality. This is in accordance with ISO 16000. Actis states that these panels do not generate dust or fibre whilst cutting or installing. Furthermore, Hybris insulation by Actis can ‘friction fit’. If additional support is needed, then adjacent Hybris panels can be taped as well as stapled to timber frames, top to bottom.
Below are a few of the ways Actis panels help enhance thermal performance:
- Low Emissivity Cavities: Due to the design of the panels, the product is made up of a variety of low-emissivity cavities. These cavities can help retain warmth in the colder seasons. In the summer, they can reflect heat away therefore making them a great insulation panel.
- Dust And Air Movement Protection: The cavities in Actis Hybris can protect against the accumulation of dust as well as excessive air movement. This is important as dust can impair the effectiveness of insulation by increasing thermal conductivity. In addition to this, air movement can result in convective heat losses. These panels are designed to protect from both.
- Reflective Surfaces: The reflective surfaces on Actis Hybris act as reflective barriers. Hybris aluminium-coated polyethylene foils provide benefits to both warmer and colder climates.

5 star product – I got the builders in for a days money on a Saturday – 2 lads done my whole loft in 3 hours – I think I should have done this job on my own.
