From Insulated Plasterboards (K118) to Cavity Wall Boards (K106), there is a product in the Kooltherm range to suit most applications. What sets the Kingspan Kooltherm range apart from other insulation products is the innovative use of phenolic foam. Phenolic foam is produced by mixing phenol, which is a type of resin, with other chemicals. This blend is then heated, which causes the mixture to expand. The final form is a rigid foam, which has outstanding thermal qualities.

The Kingspan Kooltherm range features the Kingspan K103, this is a premium product, which is designed for floor applications. It is easy to install and is one of the thinnest commonly used insulation in floors. This means it can allow U-values to be reached with less thickness. Kooltherm Floor Insulation (K103) is ideal for both new build and refurbishment projects and boasts a thermal conductivity of just 0.019 W/mK.

Kooltherm K118 Insulated Plasterboard
The K118 Insulated Plasterboard is a best selling product in the Kooltherm range. The Kooltherm K118 features both insulation and plasterboard. This means that install times are reduced due to this board being a 2 in 1 product.
This premium performance insulated plasterboard achieves a thermal conductivity of 0.019 W/mK. It provides insulation and plasterboard as well as vapour control all in one product. Like all Kingspan products, it is easy to install and is lightweight.
Kingspan K118 is ideal for buildings that cannot be insulated on the outside. The thin profile of Kingspan Insulated Plasterboard allows builders to maximise the lettable space and therefore can increase the value of a property.
Kooltherm Cavity Board
When it comes to installing Kooltherm in cavity walls, there are two different products that Kingspan offer. These are the Kooltherm K106 Cavity Boards and the Kooltherm K108 Cavity Boards. The big difference between these two boards is the application type itself. The K106 board is designed for use in full fill cavity walls where as the K108 is designed for use in partial fill cavity walls. Both of these boards are premium performance insulation boards and achieve a thermal conductivity of 0.019 W/mK.
The Kooltherm K106 board features a water tight, vapour-open polypropylene fleece outer facing. This outer facing helps to prevent moisture penetration. The K108 Cavity Board is the perfect partial fill cavity wall insulation solution and has low emissivity foil facings to increase cavity thermal resistance.
Kooltherm K107 Pitched Roof Board
Kingspan's Kooltherm Pitched Roof Insulation solution is the K107. This board is suited for use in dwarf walls, former windows, flat ceiling, loft floors as well as tiled or slated pitched roofs. These boards are easy to cut as well as handle and install. This means they can be trimmed to suit rafter spacings. Using K107 means that insulated plasterboard is less likely to be needed due to the excellent thermal performance of Kingspan Kooltherm K107. In addition to this, Kooltherm K107 is not susceptible to sagging over time and is ideal for loft renovation projects.
Kingspan Kooltherm K5 External Wall Boards
Kingspan K5 external wall boards are a premium external wall insulation solution for masonry walls. These boards achieve a thermal conductivity of 0.021 W/mK. This allows for thinner wall constructions whilst achieving good levels of insulation. The Kingspan K5 external wall board is suited for use behind traditional and lightweight polymer modified renders. In addition to this, Kingspan K5 can be retrofitted externally to existing properties. This can be done with disturbing occupants as all of the installation is done from the outside. Kooltherm Soffit Boards
Kingspan have two soffit boards, which are the K110 Soffit Board and the K110 PLUS Soffit Board. These technically use the same product code but differ. The difference is that the K110 PLUS features an impact resistant building board for when an improved finish is required where as the standard does not.
